Hudson Hirsel Awards

 

Berwickshire Group R.D.A. are extremely gratefully to have received a grant of £3000 in May from Hudson Hirsel Awards. This is being used to expand the Groups’ activities , to include carriage driving, which will provide a new experience for our clients.

Thus far training has cost £1483, and the coach will be ready to be assessed in the New Year. We have located a secondhand carriage from another group, which is costing £4500, and harness £1200, which is considerable less than a new carriage costing £9755 plus V.A.T. and delivery.

This has taken longer than initially thought to get up and running, but we are determined to get it right, as risk and safety are our priority.
