We've had a message from Anthea Drysdale that with an update on the total raised from The Great North Run the she did alongside Jamie Bromley and Christopher Lyons
Between the three runners, the total raised to date is £2800!
From this, £300 was pledged and went to 'Save the Children'.
£250 was pledged and went to 'Get Kids Going' ...... a charity that provides wheelchairs for youngsters to enable them to participate in sport.
With the balance of £2250 going to Berwickshire Group RDA!
Anthea told us
'We all had a great time doing the run although 3 1/2 hours was hardly world record standard. We had a few stops along the way to speak to people who had come out to see us and of course the odd comfort break! Lol!
Personally I had never run this far in my life before, sprinting was always my thing. I have to say I'm tempted to do it again next year . Possibly looking for a new PB (less chat and more running next time!)'
Anthea, Chris and Jamie would like to convey a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored them.
