I would like to thank the many kind people who sent cards, letters. emails and phone calls with congratulations on me being awarded the MBE in the Queens Birthday Honors List.

I am very proud to have been recognised in this way and thank everyone for their good wishes.

As announced in today's Queen's Birthday Honours list, Group Chairman, Margaret Morgan, has been awarded a very well deserbed MBE.  Margaret's reaction to this wonderful news was as follows:

'I am so very honored to receive an MBE and still cannot quite believe it.

Thank you to everyone for their congratulations and kind messages and to the Group for this wonderful surprise.

However it would not have been possible without the support of so many loyal volunteers, the brilliant horses and ponies, the many riders and vaulters and of course my family who have made it possible for me to devote so much time to RDA.

It has been an eventful 30 years and there have been many changes in RDA in that time but at the bottom line the whole idea is to let the horse do his work with as much help as we can give him so everyone benefits from his company whether riding or just being near him.
This has been brought home firmly this week and sometimes we do not fully appreciate our equine partners in RDA.
 
Thank you for this honor and a HUGE thank you to everyone who has contributed to Berwickshire Group in any way and I will do my best to represent you when I receive the award'
